Approvals and time off

Submit your time for approval
When approvals are switched on, each person sends their time to a manager at the end of the period. The manager checks it and approves it, and the time is then locked.
Approve timesheets
The Approvals screen is the manager’s inbox. It lists the timesheets waiting for a decision, who has not submitted yet, and everything decided before.
Approval settings and the lock date
These settings decide whether time needs approving, how often, and by whom. The lock date is a second, simpler way to freeze the past.
Request time off
People ask for leave in Punchly, their manager approves it, and the balance is kept up to date. Approved leave then shows on the timesheet, the calendar and the reports.
Approve and manage time off
Managers decide requests, see who is off when, and keep balances right, all from the Time off screen.
Time off policies and holidays
A policy is a kind of leave, such as Vacation or Sick leave, with its own rules: who gets it, how it is earned, and whether it needs approval. Holidays are the days the whole company is off.
