Kiosk problems
What to do when the tablet at the door does not behave.
| What the kiosk says | What to do |
|---|---|
| “That PIN isn’t right” | Try again. After 5 wrong tries the kiosk locks you out for a few minutes. |
| “Too many wrong PINs” | Wait the time shown, or ask an admin to clear your PIN in Workspace settings so you can choose a new one. A manager can also clock you in with the manager PIN. |
| “You’re not on this kiosk’s list” | An admin adds you under Who can use this kiosk. |
| “The camera is blocked for this kiosk” | Allow the camera in the tablet’s browser, or tap Use your PIN instead. |
| “This code isn’t valid” | Your QR code was replaced. Ask your manager for the new one. |
| “This device isn’t paired” or “The kiosk has stopped” | An admin pairs the tablet again from the Kiosks screen. |
| “This kiosk is unavailable” | The kiosk was deactivated, or the plan no longer includes kiosks. |
| “You’re on a break. Finish the break before you clock out” | Press Finish break first. |
Someone was clocked out without pressing anything
A kiosk signs itself out after the time set on it, from 4 hours to 7 days. Anyone still clocked in at that moment is clocked out, and an admin is told. The same happens when a device is revoked or a kiosk is deactivated.
Someone forgot to clock out
An admin opens the person’s entry in the Detailed report or on their Timesheet and sets the right end time.
