The Time tracker

The Time tracker is where most people spend their day in Punchly. Start the timer when you begin a piece of work and stop it when you finish. Everything you tracked is listed underneath, newest first.

Add time by hand

Manual mode is for time you already worked and did not run a timer for. You type the start, the end or the duration, and add it.

Edit and delete entries

Anything on a time entry can be corrected afterwards: the description, the project, the times. Entries can also be split, duplicated, changed in bulk and, if deleted by mistake, brought back.

Timesheet

The Timesheet shows one week as a grid: a row for each project, a column for each day. It suits people who fill in their hours at the end of the day or week.

Calendar

The Calendar draws your tracked time as blocks on a day or week. It is the quickest way to see gaps and overlaps, and to add or move time by dragging.

Breaks

A break is tracked like work, but kept apart from it. Breaks are never billable, and reports show them separately.

Rules that shape tracking

An admin can set a few rules that decide how time may be recorded in a workspace. When someone says “it won’t let me”, one of these is usually the reason.

Kiosks

A kiosk is a shared tablet or screen at a workplace where people clock in and out. It suits teams who do not sit at a computer, such as a shop, a site or a warehouse crew.

Clocking in at a kiosk

At the kiosk, a person finds their name, proves who they are if the kiosk asks, and presses one button. It takes a few seconds.
