Something is missing from my screen
A screen, a button or a number that a colleague has and you do not is almost always down to your role, a workspace setting, or the plan.
Start here: open the question mark at the top right and choose What I can do here. It lists what your role allows in this workspace.
A screen is not in my menu
- Clients, Tags, Audit log, Workspace settings: for the owner and admins only.
- Approvals: for people who can approve.
- Projects, Team, Reports: an admin can hide these from regular members.
- Timesheet, Kiosks, Time off, Schedule, Expenses, Invoices: each can be switched off for the whole workspace in Workspace settings.
A button is greyed out
Hover over it. Punchly shows the reason: your role, a workspace rule, or the plan it needs.
The play button on calendar events is missing
It is hidden while your own timer is running, and in a week that is approved or locked. Stop your timer and it comes back.
I do not see amounts or rates
The workspace decides who sees money: admins, admins and managers, or everyone. It starts as admins only. An admin changes it in Workspace settings, Permissions, Who can see rates and amounts.
I cannot see my teammates’ time
- Regular members see only their own time unless the workspace widens Who sees whose time.
- The Team view of the Dashboard and the Teammates picker each have their own switch in Permissions.
“This needs the Standard plan”
The feature belongs to a higher plan than the workspace is on. The owner or an admin can change the plan in Workspace settings, Subscription. See Plans and what they include.
