The free trial

Every new workspace starts with a 7-day trial that opens up the Pro plan’s features, so a company can try the full product before choosing a plan.

Length

7 days from creating the workspace

What it includes

The Pro plan’s features

Card needed

No

How it works

  • A banner at the top of the app counts down, for example “7 days left in trial. You have every Pro feature until then.” Only the owner and admins see it. Members do not.
  • The banner has a Manage link. It opens Workspace settings on the Subscription tab, where the owner chooses a plan.
  • During the trial there is no limit on the number of people.
  • The owner and admins get an email three days before the trial ends, one day before, and on the day.

What the trial does not include

The Enterprise features: the audit log and high-resolution screenshots.

When the trial ends

If no plan was bought, the workspace moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted, but:

  • Only 5 people stay active: the owner and admins first, then whoever was active most recently. The others are deactivated and keep their time.
  • Kiosk-only people are deactivated.
  • Private projects become visible to everyone in the workspace.
  • Reports cover 31 days at a time and export as PDF only.
  • Paid features stop: invoices, time off, approvals, expenses, scheduling and the rest.

Buying a plan brings everything back as it was. If you need longer to decide, the Subscription tab has a link to ask for more time.

The plans

Punchly has five plans: Free, Basic, Standard, Pro and Enterprise. Each one includes everything in the plan before it. See Plans and what they include.
